Workshop:
Tell Better Stories: Apply a Journalistic Approach to Brand Storytelling
Meg's years of experience as a television journalist and professor of journalism and public relations coupled with her research in narrative storytelling prepared her to design this workshop for brands that aim to share stories for maximum impact.
Personal-driven narratives are powerful tools to harness to build connections and relationships with key audiences. We see many organizations attempt to tell these stories using tools associated with the "hero's journey" with some success. Our approach puts people first and brands second through the creation of compelling narrative-driven stories. Homed over decades of experience as television journalists and taught to professionals in public relations, marketing, and communications as well as undergraduate and graduate students, we've developed six storytelling elements that can be applied to stories across mediums for maximum impact.

Workshop Participants walk away with:
-
A clear, actionable process they can replicate in any organization to tell stories for more impact
-
Strategies and tactics they can use to find and draw out personal-driven stories to communicate brand values
-
How to use personal driven narratives to improve communication in internal and external communication environments
-
Best practices to share stories across media platforms

*This workshop can be applied in virtual or in-person environments.
